Mauricio Serrano

Mauricio Serrano

Through his family experience in the rich silversmith and arts craft traditions of Mexico, Mauricio Serrano started his first creations at the age of 16. It is at this age when he gets involved in silversmith work, one of the highest artistic expressions, that combines form and style. This allows him to know the beauty of the semiprecious stones and the malleability of silver to create new designs.

Mauricio Serrano gets his inspiration from the feelings reflected by nature to create new designs. From the desert to the seas, from the valleys to the mountains, he obtains his inspiration in colors, textures and geometry with impeccable lines and forms that can be found within his most recent collection "EDEN".

His main influences have been fashion designers like Paul Smith, Tom Ford and Alexander McQueen, writers of the stature of Gabriel García Marquez and Pablo Neruda and painters like Frida Kahlo.

The jeweller tradition of the Serrano Family dates back to 40 years ago, to New York City where the influence from diverse cultures and ideologies marked the main stages of what Mauricio Serrano is today. His main goals are to attain brand awareness and to project his collections to an international level, always careful to maintain the value of handcrafted pieces offered with the best quality of Mexican silver.

His participation in expositions with international recognition like Iberjoya in Madrid, the Jewellers Circular Keystone(JCK) in Las Vegas, Inhorgenta in Munich and Jewellers Association (JA SHOW) in New York, have brought recognition to his designs.
